Что такое пересадка волос? Hair transplantation is a procedure aimed at restoring natural hair coverage by transferring hair follicles from areas with denser hair growth to areas with thinning or sparse hair.
Why does hair loss occur?
Hair loss can be caused by alopecia, genetics, or injuries to the scalp, as a result of which hair stops growing in the affected areas.
Who needs a hair transplant?
The procedure is suitable for both men and women. First, it is necessary to consult a trichologist to determine the exact cause of hair loss. Then, if the cause of hair loss is not obvious, the doctor may recommend medical tests. After receiving the test results, the doctor determines whether surgery is necessary.
How is a hair transplant performed?
Depending on the area being treated, hair follicles may be taken from different parts of the body. For example, for transplantation to the crown area, follicles may be taken from the back of the head.
The following methods are used:
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) – a modern method of extracting follicular grafts for implantation into the required area of the recipient zone;
FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) – a traditional transplantation method performed by removing a horizontal strip of skin from the back of the head together with the hair follicles.

Preparing for a hair transplant
Before the procedure, you need to consult a doctor. Then, one week before the surgery, you should follow these recommendations:
Avoid alcohol and smoking;
Stop taking medications that affect blood clotting;
Suspend sports activities or reduce the intensity of your workouts due to their potential effect on hormonal balance.
On the day of the surgery, get a good night's sleep and wear clothing that does not need to be pulled over your head.
After the procedure, the surgeon will also provide you with recommendations for caring for the transplanted area. It is important to follow these instructions carefully to ensure the fastest possible recovery.
