Procedures
Vascular lesion removal is a cosmetic procedure that helps eliminate vascular skin imperfections, such as spider veins, vascular networks, and other conditions that may affect blood circulation.
Types of vascular lesion removal:
Laser coagulation. The most popular method. The laser beam targets the hemoglobin in the blood vessel, causing the vessel walls to gradually break down and be absorbed by the body. One of the advantages of laser treatment is its ability to target dense and deep vessels. The laser works precisely, with minimal risk of complications.
Sclerotherapy. This method is suitable for blood vessels on the legs. A special medication is injected into the vessel, causing its walls to close together. The method is suitable for veins up to 4 mm in diameter and is commonly used for varicose veins. It is not recommended for use on the face due to the risk of complications and tissue damage.
Electrocoagulation. An electric current is applied through a fine needle. The resulting heat acts on the walls of the capillaries, which subsequently disappear. This method provides precise treatment and can be effective for small vascular imperfections. However, there is a higher risk of burns, pigmentation, and scab formation.
Phototherapy (IPL). IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a broadband light technology used to treat pigmentation and vascular lesions simultaneously. The light pulse selectively targets hemoglobin. The treatment improves skin tone, can be used as part of rosacea prevention, and allows treatment of the entire face.
Ozone therapy. An oxygen-ozone mixture is administered by injection and acts on the capillaries. This method is intended to improve blood circulation, reduce the appearance of vascular networks, and improve the overall condition of the skin. It is generally considered safe, although side effects may occur and are usually minimal.
