Megan Fox reveals all the plastic surgery she’s had

Although she is only 37, Megan Fox has been in the media spotlight for more than a decade. Ever since her breakout role in Transformers, when she was just 21, Fox has been the subject of countless rumors and speculation surrounding plastic surgery.

Throughout her career, Fox has faced an excessive amount of unfounded commentary about her appearance. As new photos of the actress have emerged, viewers have become even more speculative about what work she may have had done.

Never one to shy away from attention or criticism, Fox appeared on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast this week to discuss everything from life and sex to, of course, plastic surgery. Speaking out against the pressure to conform to unrealistic beauty standards, Fox candidly revealed all the plastic surgery procedures and cosmetic treatments she has undergone over the years — as well as those she hasn’t.

The Transformers star explained that her relationship with sex really began to change when she started taking control of her body and appearance.

“When I was younger, it was really scandalous to get anything done — by the way, my boobs were fake. I was 21 or 22 when I got them done, between the first and second Transformers movies — but I got them done conservatively,” she explained. “Back then, everyone was getting breast augmentation, but I had to make sure mine looked as subtle as possible.”

After discussing the inseparable relationship between Hollywood and plastic surgery in greater detail, Fox decided to come clean about everything.

“I’m just going to reveal everything I’ve had done because I feel like there’s a stigma around it, and no matter what I say, I can’t win. But I hope this will be liberating for some people.”

Plastic surgery procedures she hasn’t had

Starting with the procedures she has long been accused of having but has never actually undergone, Fox explained:

“I’ve never had a facelift — not a mid-facelift or a lateral brow lift, although I would love to. I’ve never had threads done. I’ve researched them, but I don’t think they work, and I’m afraid they might get in the way when I actually need a facelift.

“But sometimes I’m tempted to get a brow lift. I’ve never had buccal fat removal. I’ve never had fat removed because I’m a very thin person who doesn’t have enough fat in my face. So I would only ever add fat, never remove it. That brings me to the fact that I’ve never had liposuction, body contouring, or anything like that.”

As for the procedures she has undergone, the list isn’t nearly as extensive as many people assume.

“As I said, I had my breasts done when I was 21 or 22, and I had them redone after I finished breastfeeding my children because I don’t know where they went, but they were gone.

“Then, more recently, I had to have them redone again because I didn’t have enough body fat, and the implants were rippling and becoming visible, so I had to replace them.

“I don’t like surgery. My body doesn’t react well to general anesthesia, so whenever I have surgery, it’s a really big deal. All my doctors have to meet with me beforehand and tell me whether they’ve seen any warning signs, because I’m terrified of dying under general anesthesia. I don’t take surgery lightly, which is why I haven’t had that many procedures.”

“I had my nose done in my early twenties. I’ve been accused of having six, seven, or eight rhinoplasty procedures, which is impossible. I haven’t had a rhinoplasty since I was 23. It’s been more than ten years,” she added.

Aside from her breast surgeries and rhinoplasty, the only other cosmetic treatments Fox has had are Botox, fillers, and laser treatments.

“When it comes to lasers, I’ve done everything you can possibly imagine, and I’ll always keep doing them,” she said.

Although Megan’s account of her plastic surgery journey was far more candid and down-to-earth than most, she admitted:

“There’s one thing I’ve had done that I keep secret because it was done really well, and it’s not a very well-known plastic surgery procedure.”
