Contraindications for a breast lift

Mastopexy is not recommended in the following cases:

• Blood clotting disorders;

• Menstruation (surgery is usually not performed during this period).

How to prepare for a breast lift

Before surgery, you should consult with a plastic surgeon. After the consultation, you will need to undergo a standard medical examination and complete the required tests:

• Blood and urine tests;

• HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, and syphilis screening;

• Electrocardiogram (ECG);

• Chest fluorography (or chest X-ray, if recommended);

• Breast ultrasound and mammography;

• Additional examinations prescribed by your doctor.

Before the procedure, patients should avoid alcohol and smoking, discontinue antibiotics and anticoagulants as advised by their physician, and arrive for surgery on an empty stomach.

Recovery after mastopexy

After surgery, your doctor will provide detailed postoperative care instructions. Following these recommendations is essential for proper healing and to reduce the risk of complications.

Patients are required to wear compression garments for one month. During the recovery period, it is recommended to avoid swimming in the sea or pools, visiting saunas or steam baths, and engaging in sports or strenuous physical activity.

A full return to sports is generally recommended only after about one year, when the tissues have completely healed and the body has fully recovered.
