Contraindications to Adenotomy

Adenotomy is generally not recommended in the following cases:

• Blood clotting disorders;

• Heart and respiratory system disorders;

• Inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity;

• Acute infectious diseases.

The procedure is also not performed during a cold, acute illness, or when the patient has a high body temperature. Surgery should be postponed until the patient has fully recovered.
